once upon a time.. Hempie is based on Yaiko's 12 year dead dog. Yaiko's Aunt was very much of the word 'Hippie' and delved into drugs. She had a dog that she kept locked in her room all day with acid rock playing loudly and pot smoke. It ate some weed once when she left it out accidentally. When she moved to Paris she left the dog with her sister, Yaiko's mother. It was put down shortly after, when it tried to (there is no way how to say this politely) get it on with a blanket. It couldn't even do that properly it was so messed up. just say no
